Monday is the service day for the area north of 11th street and west of St. Vincent’s Ave. On Tuesday the service area is south of 11th Street and west of Joliet St. On Wednesday the service area is East of St. Vincent’s and North of 11th St. On Thursday the service area is east of Joliet St and south of 11th St plus the Rockwell and Senica golf course neighborhoods.

     Individuals in the city limits are billed on their water bills for garbage service. Each household may leave out two 32-gallon bags or cans per week. Additional garbage requires City of LaSalle garbage stickers. These stickers are $1.50 each and must be applied to every can or bag left out over the 2 can limit. They can be purchased at Econo Foods, IV Food Center, Save-a-lot, Hy-Vee, and Jewel. 45-gallon cans or barrels will not be emptied.

     Recycling service is provided weekly in the City of LaSalle, the same day as the garbage service day. Garbage and recycling should be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your service day. New residents that sign up for water service with the City receive one recycling bin. These bins are for newspapers, aluminum, tin, glass and plastic. Additional bins are $10 each.

     Yard Waste pickup is done from April through the end of November. All yard waste must be placed in  paper yard waste bags and placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your regular service day. Yard waste bags are available for purchase at the stores listed above and Herrcke’s Hardware.

     Bulk items like furniture may be picked up on your regular service day. One bulk item is included with each pick up, for additional bulk items you will need garbage stickers applied to each item to pay for the extra weight.
