Residential garbage pickup is done in the Village of Bureau on Mondays. Garbage should be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. Curbside recycling is done on an every other week basis on Monday. Residents of Bureau are billed on their water bills. Each household may leave out two 32-gallon bags or cans per week. Additional garbage requires a garbage sticker. These stickers are $1 each and must be applied to every can or bag left out over the 2 can limit. 45 gallon and 55 gallon containers will not be emptied.

     The Village of Bureau holds a Spring Clean Up day each year. Each household is allowed one 4’x8’x3’ pile of garbage. The following items will not be removed – yard waste, appliances, tires, auto parts, batteries, hazardous waste, building materials, concrete, bricks or blacktop.
